Our aim is for all young people, regardless of their background, to fulfil their potential and access the opportunities available to them.
This means that children should be well prepared to start school by the time they are aged five, should achieve their full potential whilst at school and college, and should be sufficiently well informed to make ambitious choices about their future as adults.
To achieve this we have prioritised three key areas:
- Priority 1: Raise attainment and progress in Blackpool’s schools
- Priority 2: Support for vulnerable children and families to improve attendance and outcomes and reduce exclusions from school
- Priority 3: Improve advice and support for young people when moving between schools/colleges and into work
